Toronto, Ontario (March 25, 2009) – There’s hope beyond the sailor suit. TykeThreads.com, an online store for hip and unique clothing for boys 0-4, is now open for business.
Launched by Toronto entrepreneur Grace Sanchez MacCall, this new store is of special interest to parents of preemies and young boys.
When her son was born, Sanchez MacCall discovered two things: shopping online for organic preemie clothing is impossible, and finding a good selection of quality and interesting clothing for a little boy is next to impossible. Speaking to other parents convinced her a need exists for a Canadian retailer that stays open 24/7, so TykeThreads was born.
“In the year I spent planning the business, I saw the economy go downhill but I am convinced people care about quality and convenience,” said Sanchez MacCall.
“I think now more than ever, there’s a need to buy for quality and to shop selectively. Plus, when time is at a premium and gas prices on the rise, most people appreciate being able to shop online from a Canadian source,” she added.
